Another very busy raku workshop. We were getting some amazing results with students using oxides over crackle white glaze, the beautiful turquoise/copper lustre glaze and the always surprising dry metal bronze glaze. We also had great fun with a bit of naked and horsehair raku but the highlight of the day was the discovery of the Obvara raku firing process. There is so little information about this way of raku-ing on the internet that we just had to glean the info that we could and just give it a go and.... WOW....... we were all very surprised that for one it worked at all and second how varied and exciting the results were, we will defiantly try this again!
The other highlight of the day was the Adelaida who bought the home made banana and chocolate cake with her......yum!
