We we're very lucky with the weather for our first workshop this year - lovely warm sunshine!! This time last year we froze. We have replaced one of our kilns with a new version which is a bit more robust ... and slightly taller than our old faithful kiln, it fired quite well just need to do a little tweaking! Our dry metal bronze glaze was getting great
flashes of colour even though to was rather breezy. One of our students bought some fine copper filling which he sprinkled into the bottom of a bowl, he got some very interesting red reduced flashes breaking to turquoise beneath, see bowl in photos below.Our next workshop in April is already full but there are still a few spaces on the May and June workshops.
