Saturday 7 July Raku Workshop ...

... Phew what it was scorchio!!!

With temperatures of 29℃ this workshops was the hottest workshop ever but we did manage to seek out what shade there was and we had some amazing pots coming out of the reduction chambers.

The happy bunch of students.
 We even found GOLD.
 Obvara was coming out beautifully on porcelain.

We took special care of out two pregnant ladies in the heat!

28 July Raku Workshop

It was such a busy day I didn't have many opportunities to take many
 photos but here are a few highlights.
Isn't it great when you match your raku fired pot!

Homework - student came prepared with lots of masking tape shapes
 to use as resist on her pots.

One of the students bought along some thin copper wire which she
wrapped around her cylinder before adding glaze.

It started a trend ...

Lovely sea foam technique - crackle white over our green flash glaze
