June Workshop ...

We had another full class on Saturday which was fantastic! Being a typical June the forecast was for really mixed weather, showers and sunshine ... we were lucky and had a bit of the sunshine and no showers, however the windy gusts were awful and we had to hang onto the gazebo at times.
As we had a lot of experienced raku-ers in the class they were being increasingly experimental! One of the most interesting was copper wire wrapped around the neck of a pot, which went really lovely colours. Janet's Obvara fired, little round box was a real treat ... looked like a solar flare! Kaz's naked raku terracotta dishes were also very successful.
Next raku workshop will be on the 17th August ... Paperclay Construction (see events tab) on 14th & 21st July!!!!
